I came across this WelcomePack Canada gift box and after a few conversations with the people behind WelcomePackCanada.com I thought that my blog site maybe a good venue to share about this special welcome gift for new Canadian immigrants.
Not all new immigrants maybe aware of the WelcomePack program that started in 2013. Over 30,000 of this gift boxes has already been distributed and in July 1, 2015, the Phase 2 of the program has started and they will be distributing another 30,000 gift boxes to new Permanent Residents who landed in Canada.
The WelcomePack brings together leading Canadian brands – in categories like banking, telecommunications, automobiles, restaurants, real estate, consumer products, media and entertainment – to extend a special and memorable welcome to new Canadian immigrants. Inside this gift box are:
- The Welcome Pack Magazine that newcomers can use as reference for tips and advice that will help newcomers in making smart choices as they settle in. At the back of the magazine are valuable coupons – over $1,000 in value and savings.
- The WelcomePack SAVINGS-PLUS Card that does not expire and brings unlimited savings at over 200 establishments.
- A chatr mobile sim card
- A reusable eco-friendly shopping bag.
- Various products such as bath soap, dishwashing liquid, tea, coffee, spices, broth mix and others (not all boxes will have the same content since it is dependent from the participating brands)
This special gift box is intended for a Permanent Resident who landed in Canada on or after January 1, 2013 and are 18 years of age or older. Currently, WelcomePacks are only distributed in the province of Ontario. Once a PR picks up a pack he also become a member of the WelcomePack program that delivers helpful settling in information, exclusive savings and fun ways to engage and win prizes, all year round.
Welcome a newcomer in Canada, WelcomePack Canada created a meaningful Welcome to Remember program for newcomers by sharing their social campaign with your friends, family and colleagues.
