As they say YOU SHOULD FACE YOUR FEAR… I have a big fear of heights but yesterday I tried conquering it by crossing this hanging bridge (can’t even look down while crossing it) 💪🏻

Been dealing with a lot of things lately and one of the biggest things that I had to deal with is confronting my fears. For the past couple of months, I’ve been contemplating about something but I always set it aside because of my fear of what could be the outcome if I decide to go for it. But I realize that how I am going to handle my fears will determine where I will go with the rest of my life, so I did it! I dive in 💪🏻

I wish some nights lasted forever…

Last night I had the privilege to see the annual concert for a cause of @itspaulong where he performed with the @wpgsymphony in benefit of @sistemawpg It was such a great show and I can’t believe that my daughter was part of this worthy event.

As one of the proud parents last night, I would like to thank @itspaulong for making some of Garden Grove’s School students a part of this meaningful activity. It is such a joy for parents like me to see my child share the stage with great musicians and be a part of an activity that has positive social impact.

Thank you very much for this great opportunity that you gave to our children, Paul, keep up the great work.

“There’s just no telling how far I’ll go…”

It’s been 14 years since I set foot in this country, as some of you know, I moved to Canada from the Philippines. Some call that being an expat, while I still want to call it “immigrant.”

It was a huge change in my life that brought me where I am now…

From serving coffee thru the drive thru window to making flight bookings, to doing administrative jobs, to efficiently managing an office operation of 200+ employees, to assisting employees with their company benefits to retirement and now to helping families step into their dream home and planning their financial future, all these while making sure that I am there for my 3 wonderful children as they grow and I have everything put together to make sure we live a comfortable life and writing my heart out through my Cup of Tyh. Whew! I didn’t even see myself living abroad but I did all that?!?

I used to be the very clingy, cautious and fearful lady before I even came here. Though, there are still a lot of things that worry me now, I still want to say that Winnipeg (Canada) made me the woman that I didn’t know I could be. I eventually learned to be more confident about myself and I don’t just do what I got to do but I do what I really wanted. The tough times taught me to be braver and learn to trade in certainty with possibility in the areas of my life.

It was not easy. It was a long process. But all the difficulties and daily challenges helped me grow so much as a person. It is difficult to be away from your family and leave the people and the place that you grew up with behind, but whenever I look back at the past 2 decades of my life, I knew that all those years of work and sacrifices wouldn’t turn out the way they are had I been in another place or had I chosen to stay in my home country.

I am grateful. I am happy that I immigrated to Canada and I am proud where I came from.

Posting or showing your accomplishments is never wrong when done right.

But you have to understand that for those who are frustrated, you’re going to be looked at as a show off.

For a jealous person, you’re going to look like you just want attention.

But for the dreamer and the go-getter, you’’ll be an inspiration.

So don’t stop for anyone but yourself, keep being an inspiration because we all need one…

Friends, no matter what you do, you’re going to have people who will say something about you or what you did. Just keep going. If you have the opportunity to be a part of something good and you know you will be great at it, put you name in it and don’t let it pass. Go for it! Keep your head up, stay strong and breathe. You don’t need everyone’s approval, keep pursuing greatness!
